I am immensely pleased to have a day now, that can never be compromised by work commitments, in which we can spend time with each other as a family. Not just time where we are all together doing our own separate things (ie. lazing about the house); but a scheduled day where we work together towards a common goal. On occasion it can be said that we digress to a certain extent; sometimes opportunity knocks and you grab it, sometimes you get distracted and pursue a task only loosely related to your goal. For us it is not so important how long this kitchen garden takes; digression is at our discretion, for if we are together having fun then we have achieved that which is most important to this family. The ongoing benefits to our property; the fruits of our labour, both the tangible and the aesthetic, are but mere physical manifestations of the emotional benefits to our family.
A family business that is most busy during the weekend creates hardships for that family; the true purpose of Dragonfly Downs is to give some of that lost time back to ourselves.
